LCD tv mounts

Moving from place to place there's always some compromise or improvisions that you have to come up with to make some of your old furnishings work. Our former place had a large living room and we had a large L-shaped couch so we had to sell that couch to buy a new one. Also our washer and drier with the bigger models we sold them to buy an apartment size stackable washer and drier. And wouldn't you know it the new place had cathedral walls so we even had to change our lcd tv mounts. It took a little while to find the right one but it looks so awesome the way it's angled into the ceiling.

Fall auction profits

It's about that time of the year that my husband starts putting things up for auction on eBay. All summer long between yard sales and garage sales he picks up unique things at very reasonable prices in hopes that he can profit on all these during the fall season to help offset our fuel and Christmas spending. Last year he profited 12oo dollars from his little effort.

Reverse osmosis

Years ago we moved into an apartment complex, the water was horrible. My husband called to have it tested it wasn't that great. We ended up installing two different pre-filters and a reverse osmosis system under our kitchen sink just to make sure that we were drinking the best possible water we could without the germs. We talked to the manager in the office at the apartment complex. They told us that the water was generally good drinking condition. By contacting the local health department we started receiving through our email quarterly postings of the water condition.  It was amazing how many times e-coli virus had been in the water and it did coincide with everyone getting sick almost at the same time that this was reported. We're thankful for our filter system stopping this for us.

Enjoying the hectic fall

When it comes to fall around our house there's just so many things to do. Make sure that we have at least half the wood that we need to burn to heat the house. Getting all the leaves rakes up and put in the proper place. Making sure all of our outdoor toys are picked up and organized in the shed. So today even though everything isn't done we're taking time out to go for a walk down to the creek. Possibly go fishing for awhile while we have the good weather.

Breast cancer awareness products

It's always so sad when you hear the word cancer whether it is a friend, relative, or your next door neighbor. It still makes you wonder how many things they classify as cancer these days.  The first thing the doctors say to you "oh we need to get you in right away to start treatments".  The treatments may kill you faster then the cancer itself by breaking down your immune system where a common cold to take your life.

The best thing that I've seen are breast cancer awareness products. At least  finding out earlier is better than later. By having extra time you can look into these. There maybe other alternatives for your treatments. I've heard of a lot of people using alternative medicines these days. Some of these are close friends and we shall see how the final outcome is.   This year at the state fair they were giving away  bracelets for cancer awareness. In the last few years between the cancer society and the diabetes society I've been  at five different events where I've donated  my time and knowledge in hopes in eliminating  cancer in my lifetime.

Buttons that don't work

I found an interesting story online the other day which kind of made me mad. Did you realize that most buttons for closing the door in an elevator are just fake buttons? Years ago these buttons always worked but now the elevator door is on a timer and it doesn't help to push the button at all. Another button that most times is fake specially in New York City is a crosswalk button. You can push it all you like but it doesn't speed up the timer that controls the stop light. It's completely fake. Again years ago these worked but now they don't. They just want to give you the false sense that it does.

Salt scrubs

My birthday is coming and I hope my husband gets the hints that I've dropped on him over the last couple of months. Every year he buys me some nice things but I wish he would buy me more volume when it comes to the salt scrubs. Even if he buys me something that I don't really need or its a wrong kind I still give him a big kiss and a hug of appreciation that he took the time to try to at least find what he thought I wanted.

Bad economy

It's such a startling picture about what's happening to the economy across the world. I think most of it is because of the United States deficit. I'm not very political so I can't pinpoint any one thing its a bunch of different things. Hopefully someday it will clear up. For my own little world our house was worth a hundred and twenty thousand now we can't even sell it for eighty thousand. We were counting on the equity that we've built up over the years as our profit for all our hard work of building it.
