Tour Guide Jobs

A friend of mine lives over in Asia. There's not much work where she is or should I say that the jobs just don't pay  very well. She already knows English, Spanish and Tagalog. Now she plans on Taking a course to learn Japanese so she can apply for a few different Tour Guide Jobs in different countries in her area. She's already a great interpreter but she says she would like to see more of the world and this will give her a great opportunity.

Creating more room

Running out of room again when it comes to putting things on shelves like pictures, DVD's and little knick knacks. We are thinking about raising the TV up and building a bigger shelf underneath. Removing the stand  that it sits on now would give us so much room for the pictures that we enjoyed the most.

Music zumba

It was so much fun doing my dance aerobics with my little boy when I wasn't working. Not that we did it exactly but we had lots of fun doing it. Now that I'm laid off from work I think after reading about it I'm going to purchase the music zumba for the Wii system. Maybe I can get my little guy to dance with mommy again while mommy loses a few extra pounds that I put on by having a sitting down job all day.

Driveway alarm

I'm so glad that we bought our driveway sensor alarm. What's nice about is if you're waiting for a delivery you know they're here as soon as they pull on the driveway. Also our mail box sits back in so the alarm also indicates when the mail arrives. Sometimes early sometimes late. I think sometimes they forget. It also helps out when you're not expecting company and they show up unannounced. At least you have the short period of time to get to the door when unexpected.

USB barcode scanner

There are so many things to think about when starting a business these days. At first I didn't realise what I was getting myself into. Now that I've done it all I don't know if I'd do it again. My neighbor asked me to help her in business I really don't have a time so I wrote up a list for her to do and give me a call when she was done. One of the obstacles we ran into was linking three PC's so we could forever do work at three different locations. Of all the things that was overlooked that was so important was the usb barcode scanner. Without this we weren't going anywhere on our opening day. It showed up the day before and I scrambled to make sure everything was working right.

Pictures and memories

Time sure change. It was so nice when my mother in law brought out this huge box of old pictures. I hadn't seen many pictures of my husband when he was little up to now. I love looking at them. My mother in law let me keep quite a few I'm going to put them in an album so at let they will be protected. It's funny these days our big box of pictures is all on CD's.

Lego Star Wars games

One of the things that our son has recently taken noticed to is everything to do with star wars. It's great because all the old movies are new to him so we get to watch everything all over again. For his birthday he received two star wars Lego kit. Thank goodness they have a step by step book for assembly it makes it so much easier but it is amazing how much Lego kits cost these days. Expensive.

Term insurance vs. permanent insurance

Over the years we've switched back and forth not fully understanding the difference between term insurance vs. permanent insurance. One person would tell you to buy term because it seems to be more affordable but another will tell you to buy whole life because of its stability. Regardless of what you have you should make sure that you have something. A friend of ours' husband accidentally died at thirty eight years old leaving his wife and children with nothing. Very sad circumstances.

Green house

Because we like our fresh vegetables all the time I think this year we are going to be building  a small interior green house. It will be the hydroponic style. We've seen quite a few different ones and as handy as my husband is. Its very simple for him to build one to the custom size  that we need. Its number twelve on the honey to do list.

Brownies from Shari's Berries

My husband is always craving for chocolate. His mom would tell you he was raised on chocolate ice cream and chocolate cookies. He was working out of town few months ago, I wanted to give him a surprise and I couldn't be there so I sent him brownies from Shari's Berries. He was so surprised. I talked to him on the phone later that evening he loved them so much. He said next time send two.

Birthday bucks

Setting up a birthday party can be quite expensive these days and I'm not talking about the presents. All the things to remember, the food, the cake and ice cream. The list goes on and on. Just this little party for our son's fifth year cost over four hundred dollars. It just seems like today's prices are so out of control.

Online conference calls

Twenty years ago if you wanted to get a message to a colleague you could just catch them in the morning and let them know what you wanted. With only five employees that was pretty simple. But now that our business has merged with others the best way to get every body's attention is to send them an email and a back up fax to tell them how many online conference calls you'll be having this month and that all of the calls are related to safety issues. It seems like small accidents are happening more frequently and we need to discuss this with everyone.

Teddy bear collection

Everybody needs a collection. The first year of our marriage my husband bought me a Teddy bear with the date on the bottom of the Bear's foot, the first one is for our first Valentines day together.  Then each year he checks out all the stores to find something unique and different then the others. As of this year we have seven which fill the top of the headboard of our bed.
