Outer Banks vacation rentals

Last year we picked a simple cabin up in the Adirondacks for our weekend retreat. I felt like we were moving to our second house. My husband and myself started packing three days before the beginning of the trip. Of all things half way there we had a flat tire and had to unpack half the truck to get to the jack. After hearing all the rage from my husband's daughter about Outer Banks vacation rentals that's where we are headed next year. She went on and on and on about the Carolina designs. The Seahawk house was her favorite. Now she wants her husband to renovate their kitchen to resemble the kitchen in the Seahawk. I'm looking forward to all the comforts of home away from home without packing everything. Just to think of a long day at the beach then coming back to the house and sleeping in a real bed, now that's what I call relaxing.

Quick lawn

It's so hard for us to grow grass. We finally after years  bought some seeds called quick lawn. This grass seed even grow on our sand where our bare spot wore in the front lawn. The only thing we have noticed is that it's a brighter lighter green than the rest of our grass. We don't worry about it so much because having grass  is so nice when you haven't had it for years.

Travel reward card

We are always looking for a way to save money. We even got together with the few of our neighbors so we could buy volume items for our household at discount prices. Also, our local butcher that has the greatest selection of meat we buy in large quantities bring it home and cut it up ourselves. This is a big savings fro us. recently we found a nice camp site close  by using our travel reward card. The basic camping was free. We all had a wonderful weekend except for the raccoons waking us up as they invaded the garbage cans.

More tools from harbor freight

Here we go again off to harbor freight. My husband decided to make new kitchen cabinets for an up and coming fall/winter project. He says to me just need a few new tools to replace the old ones. I'm always amazed at going to harbor freight seems like they have a tool for any work you want to do. This time it was to buy a new table mount belt in disc sander for his bench.

Forex training seminars

When I went to college the courses were great. I took Library Science. It was so interesting that I look forward to it all the time. My husband belongs to a union and it's nice that there are many courses during the year to progress his skills as a carpenter. He is now also HazMat (hazardous material) licensed. His uncle on the other hand swears by his training that makes him lots of money in the market. He tells of his training through Forex training seminars that he takes over and over to increase his skills in his field.

Jarred's 4th birthday party

Our little guy finally turned four and he had to wait five days to have his birthday party. We just had a small party with family including grandma. We cooked hotdog and hamburgers some pineapple macaroni salad my specialty along with watermelon for desert. The kids had fun sliding down the new play area that daddy built. They went swimming in the little pool and finished up with the cake and some wonderful presents for Jarred. Grandma got Jarred a two seater swinging kind of teeter totter that was added to the play area.
