Cell phone cases

Seems like every minute there's a different cellphone on the market. We've had an open contract on one of our phones for over six months. It's not like we won't make a commitment we just can't make up our mind what phone we like the best. One thing that we know is that we need two different cell phone cases for every phone that we have. One for work and one for play because of the dust and dirt that we encounter.

Insurance claim

The high winds and rain that we've had lately damaged some and other sections ripped down our aluminum facial on our house. My husband called our insurance company to asked them about it. You got to hate today's world when the lady on the phone tells my husband. Basically if you make a claim within one year they'll drop you as a client or raise your rate up enough to take care of the cost of it. What good is insurance if you can't use it? These people are rip off's.

Work gloves

In today's contractors world protective clothing is so top notched these days from many different types of safety glasses, goggles, shields. When it comes to respirators it depends on what hazards that you're working with. Today's work gloves are unique in themselves also to what operation you're working on. Some are even Kevlar which are cut resistant. If you start to cut through this glove the synthetic fibers stopped the blade almost immediately.

Too much too little water

We hadn't been down to our boat in a couple of weeks. We've had quite a little bit of rain lately. What we didn't realize that they open the dams close to where our boat is in the marina. The water had dropped twenty inches . This left our boat below the dock level so the bumpers were just barely touching. At one point our boat front end went under the dock edge and scratched it pretty bad. We wish the marina people would have seen this and retied our boat at a lower dock but they didn't. Now we have to live with the scratch and gouge on our boat.

TV stands

Our house has twelve foot cathedral ceilings. There's not really a lot of wall space because of the angled ceilings coming down to a four foot level to the outer wall. So when it comes to tv stands, they have to be unique to say the least. One of our TV stands or should I say wall mount was custom made out of two different applications for holding our TV level and away from the wall twenty six inches.

Aquarium

We started our nice aquarium about three weeks ago. Slowly we watched a few fish die then we figured out it was one fish killing the rest one at a time. But after we got rid of him fish were still dying of some other reason. We've lost everyone now. We're going to start over thinking that it might be the iron in our water is too strong for the fish.

Office furniture supplies

When it came to building my office at the house it seemed like it took a long time. My husband at that time was working full time then trying to finish at night working at home was tough. The office furniture supplies are one of the things that took me forever specially when it came to color of the furniture. Finally I decided it was here before I knew it.

Little boat camp

We packed up all our stuff to go spend the night on our boat. The first four hours were fun. We even bought a DVD movie to watch in my laptop. The first problem was the dvd wouldn't work in the laptop. The second big problem was it was too humid in the boat after the rainstorm. So after thinking about it for a couple of hours we decided to pack it all up and go home. So much for sleeping on the boat I guess.

Social security benefits

Some things are so unexpected. Sometimes accidents are unavoidable specially when it's someone else that creates it and its out of your control. Couldn't stop it if you want it to. The sad story of a family that was hit in their car from a drunk driver. One little boy survived. The social security benefits will help him money wise. In one way I hope he was so young that he won't remember the accident.

Brushing teeth training for our little one

My parents told me over and over again their parents told them over and over again, "you have to brush your teeth at least twice a day". Even though I think three times a day is a lot better bet, flossing is an extremely important part of the daily cleaning also. The only problem with brushing and flossing is when it comes to children some kids can be tougher than the other to get the daily program in order. A twenty four hour a day, that occasion to your little one for potty training can be stressful enough. We encourage our little one with a treat if he made it to the seat without an accident. The treat though was a tasty toothpaste on his toothbrush and if he did it right he would get a little more toothpaste. We have to use some kind of bribery at that age. But it worked. We got him potty trained and in a habit of brushing his teeth in no time.

Safe diet pills

Looking to lose a little bit of weight I first went out and bought some reasonably priced store brand diet pills. They seem to help a little but the problem with those pills I was getting nausiated from them. So I started looking around for safe diet pills or should I say reading the labels a lot more intensely. I finally found the ones that were right for my circumstances.

Hot wheels

I don't know when I started them but my husband says that they haven't lost their appeal to children. As close as he can remember hot wheel tracks and cars have been around since at least nineteen sixty eight. Some of his original cars that he had growing up are now antiques on Ebay selling for fifteen, twenty dollars. He said he used to have over two hundred cars.

Gold coins

Years ago my husband had a large collection of different coins from around the world. Most of the coins he had were silver prior to nineteen sixty five. He had always craved for collecting a few gold coins. He ended up selling off approximately half of his silver coins to purchase five gold coins. He is very proud of his collection. He started this when he was ten years old.

I was online the other day and I ran into an eye wrinkle remover product. I thought I would surprise my mother in law with it this weekend. Hopefully she will use it.

Salt versus rust

We learned a long time ago that every four to five years we should trade in our vehicle because of the salt in New York State likes to eat the vehicle up. It's better to get rid of it at that point. But with today's economy and job reductions we figured we'd keep it for a few more years. Now, we're slowly paying more for repairs than the vehicle is worth. Not big repairs but multiple small ones. It starting to work backwards on us money wise.

Adult acne remedies

Over and over again throughout my life I've had to fight the battle with acne. One of the things I found out most of my problems were in the foods that I ate. By changing my diet I almost eliminated my acne. Then I restarted my search for adult acne remedies. It took a while but I finally conquered all the problems.

Wonders in setting up an aquarium

My husband finally setting up our aquarium. The first time we set it up we found out that our water is high in iron and salt water fish definitely don't like iron. So we had to change out all the water add more salt and start over with two fish just to see if everything was okay. It's so nice to sit there at night watching the fishes swimming around.

Daddy's a builder

About two years ago my husband made up some new shelves for the walls to hold all my little knick knacks. But my knick knacks are growing in record speed. Time to make more shelves. I know he's not going to want to hear this but who knows. He might make up a new design which makes it more interesting for him to build.

Boating

Nothing like a relaxing day on a boat but the day starts with trying to make sure that you have everything to take on a boat. It can be so frustrating when you're going to cook lunch to discover that you had no propane in the tank that runs the cooker. Luckily there's a store close to one of the islands that carries the tanks. They save the day.
