The wonders of deep thought

Has this ever happened to you? You're thinking one thing your husband is thinking another. I was in a bath getting ready to take my step daughter home. My mistake, I thought I was going with him. I know he was in a hurry and then I found out. He came in the bathroom gave me a kiss and a hug said he'd be right back. I thought he was just going outdoors for a minute. By the time I got out of the bathroom I couldn't find him. He had already left! I don't know what I was thinking so I called him on his phone he said he was already on his way home from dropping off my step daughter. Well I guess that save some time. (hahaha)

Learn About Shower Enclosures

We thought we knew everything about our bathroom project well we thought wrong. Thank goodness for an awesome site that we found on the Internet. We started out last year just installing a faucet and a new counter top but the bathroom still was in need of a complete face lift. I tell you what you better be a quick thinker when it comes to tearing apart a bathroom because obviously its one room you can't do without. I think that the thing that took us the longest to agree on because there are so many different Shower Enclosures. It was just so hard to pick the tub we had picked out from the year before. So that was no problem. We also went with some beautiful mosaic tiles.

The wonders of fiberglass

I always knew that insulation could be itchy. But up to yesterday I didn't realize that insulation the pink kind is actually spun glass. Just from moving two rolls of it out of our shed to bring into the basement my arms got covered with it. Itch itch itch...you wash up it's still there. The best things that you can do is run cold water down your arms. This closes your pores and pushes the fiberglass out of them. If you use hot water you're in trouble because the glass goes deeper into your pores.

Recirculatory fan

When we decided to put our big wood stove in our house to save energy. It's a great idea. In our basement level downstairs, we still needed leave the gas heater on to warm the live-in basement. They should call my husband McGuiver. He's always figuring things out. Behind our wood stove upstairs is a closet area. He built a false box in there, put two vents through the wall, installed the in line fan to take hot air from the upstairs to the downstairs. Therefore, there is no need for the gas heater downstairs anymore. Talk about an energy saver. He makes me wonder sometimes the things he comes up with.

New PDF Search Engine

Starting a new website again can always be troublesome. This time we're gonna be taking extreme notes. Registering a domain name is the big nothing part. At the beginning we thought web hosting meant that they would take care of all your storage. Regular web hosting doesn't work for us because we need unlimited storage and unlimited pages to open off our main site. Three weeks after the site was open. I received an email from one of our subscribers. One of the links on our site wasn't working correctly. It can be hard at times to figure out what's going on. A quick PDF Search took care of everything. My original pdf file was corrupt in some way. I was lucky my search came up with the original base file.

The funniest t-shirts on the web

We started out on our long journey to pick up our sailboat down in the Carolina's. Driving from New York to North Carolina takes just a couple of minutes. One of the things that we love during is checking out some of the outrageous or funny bumper stickers. We got into a discussion that we needed new and unique work shirts for our business. We ended up going online to a site that has funny t shirts. After laughing through three cups of coffee I invited the husband over to check it out. Being that we needed quite a few shirts we got a great price wholesale on our order. When it comes to my husband and t-shirts there's so many. I think he thinks some of them are even formal wear. He make sure that they're ironed and hang up for special occasions.

Financial Information

You think that I have learned my lesson about charge cards. Its so very easy to use them.Just pull it out of your wallet slide it in the machine and your done. Until your monthly bill comes. At first their monthly minimal payment doesn't look like much but what you have to understand is and I didn't at first by paying the monthly minimal payment, it would take me seven years to pay off a couple of thousand dollars. The interest rate is where they get you. At the time it was 9.99 that was cheap for a charge card. But over the years I had been one day late twice they jack me up to twenty one percent for quite some time.

I didn't even notice. I was so busy with all our life having our new born baby at the time. I was kind of focused on other issues. I was so ecstatic one day. The mail truck had gone by. I was expecting a package for Christmas for my son. In order to get the mail though we had to get dressed for the frigid weather. It was snowing and blowing a Northeaster storm out. When I got to the mailbox I realized the package hadn't come. But in there was offers for new charge cards at 9.9 percent that made me happy at the time. So I started filling out the paper work.

A few weeks went by I received my new cards with convenient checks the main clue about convenient checks is to watch the dates that the interest rate expires in the future. That way you know what to expect a year to down the road. I paid the high interest card off and closed that account. You see though years later, debt consolidation loans are the way to go. It was extremely easier to have one payment rather than all the charge card bills and the interest was so much less. I think everyone out there has probably learn this lesson.

Save The Date Postcards

Planning a wedding in a three month time frame is a very hectic ordeal. The chaos of it all. its a wonder that you don't need to get a divorce before you get married. (haha) We had a format with everything we needed to get done. Now if everybody will remember to follow through with their part. So many different angles for something to go wrong. It reminded me of the nightmares when we renovated our house. When it came to sending out wedding invitation we had two different kinds. Both of these kinds were designed on postcards.com. For the wedding party we had a six by eleven autumn picture on one side and then the other side the complete announcement of our wedding. We still needed another hundred invitations. We picked save the date postcards for the announcements. It was quick. We had it done with their premium stock with the UV coating to assure that the picture on the card would last for years to come.

The wonders of baking soda

In today's world a lot of times we're forgetting about our older product that have worked good in the past. You should do yourself a favor and always write down products that worked great so when you go to the store you don't pick out a different product to find out later on that it doesn't work very good. One of our favorite old product is baking soda. The use of baking soda goes on and on. From brushing your teeth to having a luxurious soft bath water to scrubbing away stubborn stains on multiple surfaces. I thought the edge of copper on my pots and pans would ever come clean until I use the baking soda.
PS.. throw a little bit in your garbage pale as a deodorizer. It works miracles. Read the box sometimes.

Wooden Blinds Direct

It seemed like every other day my grandmother was complaining about her old porch. I finally got a few family members together to look at the situation. Originally we were gonna tear down the whole porch and replace it. It seem a shame that my grandfather had built the whole porch back in the nineteen forties. Instead of tearing the whole thing down which the front was windows all the way across, we decided to take out the three center windows and replace them with the sliding glass door. We re-sanded the old hardwood floors in there. My grandmother didn't want to part with the old blinds that were in there because they were so unique. But they were in disrepair from the many years of use. Grandma thought it was so interesting when I brought my laptop over. We started our search online for new venetian blinds and of course this took days. The tough part I had was talking her into having all vertical blinds to match. The simplex of the site that we found was amazing. We already had all our sizes. After we had picked what we wanted it only took fifteen minutes to conclude our sale.

The wonder of quick breakfast

We were always on the go. Eating right in the morning is getting tougher everyday. Let's face it you have to get up at least forty five extra minute each morning to cook. We were out grocery shopping, I happen to picked up a box of Pillsbury toaster scrambles. The type that I've picked up has eggs, sausage, and cheese sauce all in one. Putting them in toaster for such a quick breakfast is ideal for me considering that I pre-cooked my rice the evening before to have with this.

The frost is finally here time to pack up all our summer toys. Our son is going to e very upset because you go from lots of toys to only a few sliding sleds outdoors. This is his first real big transition. He is three now and very aware of every circumstance around him. Can't fool him no more. Now we need another shed for accumulated toys.

Diesel Parts Pros

We expanded our horizons on our small renovation business. One of our big trucks is set off just for doing blown-in-insulation. Our other two big truck are set up with all of our tools for doing our kitchen and bath renovations. Being we're in New York State everything is fine until the temperature dropped below twenty five degrees. You see all these trucks are diesel so when the guys come home with the trucks from the jobs, they're suppose to plug the trucks in to keep the diesel fuel pump warm so that the truck start smoothly the next day. You think by putting a big sticker on the steering wheel saying "plug me in" !!!!! or you won't work tomorrow would be enough reminder for the guys. But they still forget. ahhh..

The wonders of fiber optics

Fiber optics are amazing! It's hard to conceive what they really do. It actually starts with the vibration of your voice. An encoder machine measures the sound turns it into a current then the machine digitally codes the electrical signals. It is then turned into different tones of light transmitted acrossed a laser sent across the fiber optic cable. And if you understand that you're doing better than we are! (hehehe) You have to read the whole book on the subject and then your mind still can't grasp the situation.

Interstate Plastics

Between your windows, doors, sidings, and roofing's we kept busy for quite sometime. Word of mouth whether good or bad travels fast. We had a great reputation for our uniqueness. One winter we started to slow down. We took on a big apartment house kitchen and bath renovations. As we were re-doing the kitchen we needed a special filler that would go from an end cabinet to the edge of the cathedral ceiling. The thing of it was we couldn't make it out of sheet rock or wood. It needed to be delrin plastic to resist the types of chemical cleaners that would be used in this application.

Free Business Cards

It was tough starting out in business years ago in this dog eat dog world of contracting. We were a small business contractor fighting for a space in the big business world of home remodelling. It wasn't just enough that we priced our self on excellent work. We needed to find a niche in the business so people would remember us and turn to us for our uniqueness. One of the things that we gave out was free estimates and of course our free business cards. With the energy crunch going on across the world, we decided to step into the blown-in-insulation business. We had more repeat business when we gave away a magnetic card that also had a thermometer on it. A lot of people told us that by sticking it on the refrigerator is where they used our telephone number to contact us.

Cleaning

Clean clean clean. Sometimes that's all we do. We have a small cleaning business and other times there is not a lot of work around. What we do is empty apartment cleaning. When people move out we do an in-depth cleaning not just like lightly doing this and lightly doing that. A lot of it unfortunately is on your hands and knees along with pulling out all the appliances. We're quite busy the other week so we called the temporary service to ask them for a person that really knows how to clean to help us. We left the girl there. The apartment should have took seven hours. We came back in four hours she was gone. We called her on her cellphone she said the apartment was done. She didn't do half of what we told her to do the apartment was still a mess. It goes to show you that if you want a job done right you best do it yourself.

Christmas Cards

I remember some grand old memories of yesteryear Christmas cards. Some of them are so extravagant, you ended up looking at them and picking them up so many times and when Christmas was over you didn't want to pack them up. They were like souvenirs that you always remember. All of our cards from many years were packed away with our Christmas decorations. So each year when you go to set up again, there's always that fifteen or twenty minutes where you look through all your cards from the years passed. Some of them are very heart warming. When you open them up and stop to think about your grandparents that you used to share this time with and they're gone now. I went out this year to buy Christmas cards. I couldn't really find what I was looking for. Until I found this place with the custom christmas cards everything that I loved of the past I found now in the future.
